Catch Me If You Can

Based on the hit film and the incredible true story, Catch Me If You Can is the high-flying musical comedy about chasing your dreams and not getting caught. Nominated for four Tony awards, including Best Musical, this delightfully entertaining show was created by a Tony Award-winning “dream team,” with a book by Terrence McNally (The Full Monty, Ragtime) and a swinging score by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman (Hairspray).

Seeking fame and fortune, precocious teenager, Frank Abignale, Jr., runs away from home to begin an unforgettable adventure. With nothing more than his boyish charm, a big imagination and millions of dollars in forged checks, Frank successfully poses as a pilot, a doctor and a lawyer – living the high life and winning the girl of his dreams. When Frank’s lies catch the attention of FBI agent, Carl Hanratty, though, Carl pursues Frank across the country to make him pay for his crimes.

COVID-19 UPDATE: This show has been cancelled. Please know that this decision was not made lightly. Unfortunately, this decision had to be made early because we felt it would be very unfair to our cast and crew to have them work for 8 weeks on a show that may or may not happen, especially in the 1200-seat Missouri Theatre.

TICKET INFORMATION: Please contact RRT at info@rrtstjoe.org or leave a message at 816-232-1778 to choose any of the following options:

1. You can donate the cost of the ticket(s) to RRT so that we can continue the basic upkeep of the theatre and the organization at this very difficult time. This would be greatly appreciated, as this pandemic has hit RRT very hard financially, and we still desperately need to finish the building.
2. You can transfer the ticket(s) to an upcoming show. We will transfer your ticket purchase to a credit that can be used for any RRT performance.
3. You can request a refund. We ask that you only do this if absolutely necessary. However, we also understand that this crisis has directly affected many of our patrons, so we will process refunds as requested.
